I’ve been summoned…

There’s discourse on the internet of what is quality smoke and how can you tell?

If you’re one of the people that think it's JUST the color of the ash then I’m so sorry, we’ve got to expand your thinking just a little bit!

In the industry we do like to say that ash is the indicator of quality, but there is no scientific research proving this fact.

What matters the most is the age, the smell, the appearance, and the moisture.

I’ve judged hella competitions, and when I’m judging the quality of a plant I’m always asking myself:

  • Can I smell it? Is it dank? Is it punching me in the nose?

  • Is it dry, or does it have moisture?

  • How old is this plant?

  • What does it feel like when I’m pulling it? Does it burn? Is it harsh?

  • Is there a little oil ring around the joint?

All of these things in conglomerate matter, not just the color of your ash.

I’m so sorry to debunk this myth for you, but it’s what I do!
