Here’s an update on my homegrown plant with the iGrowCan by Royal Queen Seeds:
My girl is cute, short, and headed to maturity—but why?
Aren’t these plants supposed to be really tall? Let’s back up a little bit…
Cannabis plants have two different growing cycles:
Vegetation Cycle: Where the plant grows all of its leaves and grows as tall as it can. These leaves work as solar panels for the next process.
Flowering Cycle: This is where, you guessed it, the plant grows its flowers!
My iGrowCan came with auto-flowering seeds, and those have a much quicker life cycle!
And for reference, under favorable conditions, this is what a healthy auto-flower plant looks like:
My plant was exposed to a little bit of stress from the heat and she didn’t get as much light as she needed.
But overall I’m enjoying this process of learning, and I want to thank Royal Queen Seeds for the opportunity to get back to home growing!
