Are Things Looking Up for Women in Cannabis?

Find Out How the Industry Is Evolving from this Panel of Four Femme Powerhouses on the Front Lines!

To celebrate Women’s History Month, I sat down with this incredible group of female powerhouses in cannabis at Jardín Las Vegas—my favorite dispensary in town.

From the ways women get treated like they know less, just for being women, to how things are evolving (in a positive direction—because we’ve commanded it!) we all had lots to share as veterans in this industry.

In This EPISODE:

  • 0:45- Introducing this incredible panel of Women in Cannabis, and learning a little about what each of them do for the industry!

  • 3:30- Asking each of our panelists how it feels being a woman in cannabis and about the challenges they each faced when breaking into this industry.

  • 12:00- Discussing the sad reality that doctors aren’t taught the medical benefits of cannabis, leaving the cannabis educators to teach people how to self prescribe.

  • 17:30- Discussing the ways that cannabis is marketed towards female consumers, and how we can make the marketing towards women more effective.

  • 22:20- Getting into the social justice issues surrounding cannabis and talking about the harsh marijuana laws that need to be changed.

  • 25:30- As women in a male-dominated cannabis industry, we discuss our strengths and also the challenges that we face compared to the men of the industry.

  • 32:00- All about being a Cannamom, how to balance working in the cannabis industry and motherhood, and the importance of properly educating our youth about the plant.

  • 38:00- Reminiscing on our first times smoking weed, and talking about our personal journeys with cannabis.

  • 41:30- Advice & words of wisdom for women trying to make their way into the cannabis industry.
