Cannabis & Journaling: Why You Should Start Today
Few cannabis users journal about their usage, but every one should be doing it! Here’s why…
Cannabis journaling is equally important for the CannaCurious & the CannaSerious alike!
Here are the top reasons why:
While strain names can give you an idea of effects, it’s best to record your personalized effects. The reason?
Different growers have different growing methods that can vastly change a strain’s effect, such as growing indoors versus outdoors.
Also, cannabis seeds are a lot like kids! While one family may have 5 children, all 5 will resemble each other, yet still be very different. It’s the same with cannabis seeds!
The only way to get a replicated effect is with a cloned plant grown in the same conditions.Save all your data to learn what your body likes!
It’s a great idea to record the percentages of the cannabinoids present in your strain, as well as the terpenes if your cannabis manufacturer lists that on the packaging too!
You can also record the THC percentage, although that number does not determine effects to the extent that many people think it does. The terpenes are actually far more important, so it’s a great idea to note which ones your body likes.
The bottom line is this: We have to rethink our relationship with the cannabis plant.
Journaling is one way to be more mindful in our consumption & learn to listen to what our bodies like—and what it doesn’t like—instead of relying solely on THC percentages or whether it’s indica or sativa.
By journaling, I’ve learned that anything sweet leads to sweet dreams for me!
