The Mother of All Cannabinoids
Our favorite cannabinoids, like THC & CBD, start out as another cannabinoid altogether. 😲
Did you know that there’s a cannabinoid responsible for the creation of our favorite compounds, like CBD & THC?
These tend get all the hype, but they owe their existence to a precursor cannabinoid—CBG—or cannabigerol.
When you pick up a fresh nug, it contains THC-A, or Tetrahydrocannabinolic-acid.
This THC-A only becomes the psychoactive THC that we know and love, tetrahydrocannabinol, once it’s been heated.
However, if we roll it back even further, there is another compound that precedes even THC-A and CBD-A, and that’s CBG.
Hence her name, The Mother of All Cannabinoids. Without her, nothing else is possible!
Although it’s non-psychoactive, CBG also has medical benefits too. And it’s responsible for the creation of CBD-A, CBC-A, and THC-A, which then convert into the fun compounds—CBD, THC, & CBA.
