Debunking a Spooky Cannabis Myth
Here’s Why No One’s Handing Out Edibles to Kids 🎃
It’s that time of year—time to debunk a spooky cannabis myth!
Year after year, parents are warned to check their children’s Halloween candy for safety.
It started with warnings of razor blades and needles potentially hiding in trick-or-treater’s candy…
But now, there are rumors circulating that some people are handing out cannabis edibles to children.
Let’s clear this up—nobody is handing out cannabis for free to kids and strangers.
In many areas, especially in my home state of California, prices & taxes on cannabis products are so high that people can barely afford the cannabis they need for themselves.
And unfortunately, when kids are harmed by Halloween candy, it’s usually done by someone close to them, like their parents, and then staged to look like it was done by a stranger.
To me it is clear, these rumors are yet another way people are seeking to stigmatize cannabis & legalization.
