Tea Time with Flow Kana

An Afternoon of Love, Laughter, Good Food & Great Cannabis

My beautiful friend Chanti came up from LA to have a tea time with me.

It seems like life has been so busy lately, and I wanted to have some quality fun time, and what a better way than to share a Flow Kana surprise with a friend!

When she arrived, we unboxed the gift, and to our surprise, we had four different strains of sustainable, sun-grown cannabis from Mendocino County, CA known as Flow Kana Farmer’s Reserve.

Also included was an aroma kit with a pairing ingredient for each strain!

We learned information about the farms, tasting notes, recommended paring items, a glossary, and cultivar forms for journaling!

It warmed my educator heart!

Especially since I’m a firm believer that cannabis consumption should be an intuitive experience and recording your feelings is one way to learn how you react to certain terpenes and cannabinoids.

I wanted to scream with excitement especially when smelling and observing the strains because in my cannabis-based book club, we’re currently reading about the importance and need for sustainable cannabis farming, and the stage takes place in Mendocino County!

These farmers take what they do seriously and utilize practices that respect the plant, the patients, and the land.

The way I see it, their philosophy is how good is the medicine if creating it is doing more harm than good?

That’s why these batches of craft, sun grown cannabis are worth their weight in gold!

….And why I was hesitant to place the flower in the grinder provided.

But I had a job to do, darn it!

My friend Chanti and I smelled each jar and compared the scents with the aroma kit provided.

The flowers were decorated with beautiful crystals and so fragrant! It’s some of the most beautiful outdoor flower I’ve ever seen.

We chose our favorite strain based on what our noses liked the best.

We both agreed on Larry Cake because the smells jumped out of the jar and made both of us smile! The nose knows.

Our method of consumption was a hemp bluntβ€”because blunts are a form of self-care over here.

Chanti and I decided that we would prepare a nice afternoon tea complete with fruit, nuts, and french doughnuts, better known as beignets!

If you’ve ever been to Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, you know that place is heaven on earth!

I luckily have a box of their beignet mix and made them fresh at home.

We paired our hibiscus tea with infused lavender vanilla creamed honey and enjoyed a fruit platter, beignets, crackers and nuts paired with Flow Kana’s Larry Cake strain.

We were both blown away at the potency, flavor, and taste of the strain.

Feeling great and relaxed is an understatement.

I really love that Flow Kana Farmer’s Reserve cannabis we consumed was grown outdoors, sustainably, and organically.

The responsibility and safety that goes into the creation of these strains by the farmers can not and must not be understated.

The difference between sun-grown and indoor cannabis is kind of the same as indoor and outdoor tomatoes.

Which do you prefer?

All in all, I say it was a successful afternoon tea with so much love and laughter good food, and great cannabis!
