What’s The Connection Between the ECS & Your Eyes?

The endocannabinoid system has a super important role in eye health! 👀

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a master regulator for the human body, so the important role that the ECS has in your eyes is not at all surprising!

The ECS is responsible for both the formation of your eyes, as well as, the flow of the liquid in between the cornea & the lens of the eye.

Why is this important?

This liquid, called the aqueous humor, is important because if becomes imbalanced, it can cause vision issues. We know this as glaucoma.

And what can help this imbalance? Cannabis!

THC & CBG are known to be very effective at reducing intraocular pressure and thereby helping to restore vision.

One of the most famous glaucoma patients in history, Robert Randall, noticed that, after smoking joints, his eyesight drastically improved.

That’s how he became a huge cannabis advocate in the 70s—and ultimately—the very first medical marijuana patient!
